I’m Annie Gaburo

Elementary school teacher trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach

I am a fourth-grade teacher with over a decade of experience in education. I teach at the Carroll School in Waltham, MA, a school that specializes in educating students with language-based learning differences, such as dyslexia.

I am an Associate Level member of Orton-Gillingham training. Orton-Gillingham is a highly effective, research-based, language tutoring service. Orton-Gillingham’s guiding principals: Personalized, Multi-sensory, Diagnostic and Prescriptive and Direct Instruction.

I am a graduate of Lesley University’s Graduate School of Education, receiving my master’s as a Specialist Teacher of Reading in December 2024. I attended undergrad at Colgate University and graduated in 2014 with a degree in English Literature. I have taught children ages 3-16 over the course of my career.

II live in Harvard, MA with my husband and two daughters, and enjoy hot yoga, strength training, and reading mysteries in my free time. I host students in my home in Harvard or can commute to most communities in the Metrowest area. I look forward to connecting and working together!
